Our story

Tracy Taft, a resident of Jasper for most of her life opened J&T Apparel back in December of 2020. Tracy said, “I was standing at the island in my kitchen talking to my boyfriend (at the time) and God spoke to me in my left ear and said, “Open a mens store.” That was all he said and it was enough.” Tracy has been on the righteous path with God since 2005. She always tries her best to do what God says and live according to his will.

Opening a mens store with no prior retail background was hard for Tracy, but she knew that it was Gods plan and everything was for a bigger reason.

Since opening Tracy says her favorite part about the business is helping people. “We’ve got customers who have been driving to Birmingham for years and taking chances that their clothes will fit but often times they dont. But since we’ve been open those same customers will come in and say, “I bet you wont have my size.” and voilà! We have it!” Tracy likes to help people who cant find their size because it might be a different shape or style that no one else has, but we have it. Thats what makes J&T Apparel different. If Tracy doesn’t have your size in store she will do everything she can to get it.

Valuing customers is important to Tracy, thats why she goes the extra mile in having a connection with her customers.
